An epic location.
Three ingredients for your most romantic Valentines Day ever! With a few handy hints, it could be you.
We have all seen "that" photo of a happy couple gazing lovingly into each other's eyes, seated at a table set for two, feet in the sand, waves lapping at the shore.... or maybe even in your home.
Prior to picking a venue, identify the perfect menu for yourself and your partner by obtaining hints for his or her favourite cuisine. Not unless this would be a first Tinder date, there should be some kind of indication of a preferred cuisine and special dietary requirements (allergies).
What’s on the menu - if your best friend is not Jamie Oliver and you have no idea why a chef would be "naked" in the kitchen, there is help at hand. Intertain will send a private chef to your home with world-class chefs and menus. Your partner will be impressed!
Have the champagne at the table ready or if your partner has a favourite flower, a bunch casually placed on the table with a handwritten note should secure your position as the most romantic lover ever! The flowers do not have to be roses. It is sometimes nicest to have a selection of handpicked ones from the garden, especially on V-Day, your money can be better spent on a nice bottle of bubbles.
Candles make a romantic dinner. Have your candles tapered, twistered or tealights preferably unscented on the table so it wouldn’t affect the taste of the food. Leave scented candles in other areas of your home; in the bedroom / bathroom.
The surprise factor will make it really special. If you are setting up the venue yourself, tell your partner to get dressed for dinner and meet you at the secret spot; the most epic location could be your home! If you are not setting up yourself and you need someone to do it for you, you might like to hire a professional – try Buy The Cow.
Remember, February is the month of love so don't worry if you are working this V-Day, there is no excuse to spoil your loved one on any other day besides 14 February!
